And to think Beautiful You got 22,000+ sales on the first day and Purple Line got 16,318 on the first day, both of which turned out to be number 1 on the Weekly Oricon. If Doushite hits #1 weekly, Tohoshinki will make Japanese music industry history. They will be the first non-Japanese artist to ever make that record. And according to DNBN:

"30,668 x 1.75 = 53,669 chapters is, or, ^.^ where the sales volume calculation law is when to combine calculates all, total one day only sale volume they are 53,669 chapters."

To explain that more clearly, westkitsune said that:

There are some stores like yesasia, etc etc w/c doesn't count to the chart so they sort of take those a bit to consideration. Oricon doesn't release the actual # of copies sold on the daily chart, but rather the "units" sold, so we estimate how many copies with the 1.75. The official # of copies is released on the weekly charts.
