Kelly Rowland (26), member of the female group Destiny's Child, talked about singer Se7en. The two already met twice. First was on May 6, 2006, in Siam Paragon's Royal Paragon Hall, Bangkok, Thailand, where the "2006 MTV Asia Awards" was held and the second was on May 27, 2006, in the Yoyogi Olympic Stadium for the "MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2006."

Kelly, after seeing Se7en's performance, expressed "Magnificent Se7en."

Recently, Kelly had a phone interview with Yonhap regarding the release of her 2nd solo album entitled "Ms. Kelly."

"How do you remember Se7en's singing and performance?" asked Yonhap, which Kelly answered with "He is a magnificent singer who is competent."

"I think his performance was magnificent and beautiful. (On Se7en's US debut) I expect that he will be the future Asian artist who will earn worldwide success," Kelly added.

In early August, Se7en goes to the US to prepare for the release of his 1st album, which is scheduled at the end of the year. The famous producer Mark Shimmel handles his US debut.

Currently, composer Rich Harrison made 2 songs for him and the new producer team made 4 songs, totaling to 6 tracks. Noise Trip, who worked with Black Eyed Peas member Fergie's solo album, also participated as a new producer for Se7en.

"While Rich Harrison's track is hip hop, Noise Trip's track puts more importance in melody with a medium tempo R&B, both can pass as Se7en's debut title track," YG entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk explained.

"Now, a top American producer also participated in Se7en's album," Yang said, but left out the detail of who this producer is. He assured that this producer would be revealed at the right time.

"It will be hard for an Asian to succeed [in the US], but I will face the challenge," Se7en expressed during a Japanese interview that showed his strong determination for his US debut.

Man, I know my multi-talented baby sings really well and dances like perfection, but this live footage still took me by surprise. SE7EN not only earned my admiration and loyal fandom, but now he also has my respect.

[MUSIC] ELLEGARDEN - Missing & Fire Cracker

Good grief! I can't believe I haven't given ELLEGARDEN a try until last night. These guys are good, awesome good.

The very first song I listened to was "Missing". Then it was on repeat immediately.

My first impression of the song is that the lead singer's voice sounded wonderfully young. Then the effect-laced guitars kicked in, and images of My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy filled my head. ELLEGARDEN could give these bands serious competition in the world market (though FOB would still be #1 for me, lol! Loyalty, loyalty!).

The melody is super-catchy, the emotion is heartfelt, the vocals seem on the brink of heartbreak... everything about the song makes you want to sing the lyrics out loud in the silence of your room.

PS: Most of the tracks in their new album Eleven Fire Crackers are in English. In perfect English. Sometimes you'd forget you're listening to a band from Japan. One of my favorites in the album is the track Fire Cracker. Listen and you'll see what I mean:

[VIDEO] L'arc~en~Ciel - Daybreak's Bell + Kiss album review

L'arc~en~Ciel's latest album Kiss, officially released yesterday, is made of so much win. ALL the tracks are good, from the more upbeat songs like Seventh Heaven and Pretty Girl to the ballad-y ones like Yuki no Ashiato and Umibe.

But my favorite of all, hands down, is Daybreak's Bell. The mood and melody of this song will keep you in LSS (last song syndrome) mode for a long, long time. It's just classic Laruku: a very addicting hook, meaningful lyrics (it's basically anti-war), and Hyde's trademark VOICE. This song and My Heart Draws A Dream made Kiss my favorite Laruku album of all time.
